Written by Anne Blake & Kaye MacLean, this book was launched on 2nd May 2014 by the former WA Premier, Hon. Richard Court at the 50th Anniversary Exhibition of the W.A. Guild of China Painters.
The organization was founded by Amy Lakides on the 31 March 1964 and the book brings to life the foundation, activities and progression of the Guild over the last 50 years. Well illustrated, it also shows the changing styles in subject and interpretation from its early days to the present.
With 138 pages the book also lists the names of the 993 members between 1964 and 2014 including the 58 foundation members and is an excellent reference book for collectors looking for information on West Australian china painters.
'Golden Reflections' A Celebration of 50 Years' Retails for $25 and can be purchased from the WA Guild of China Painters Website.
